The Core Techs, the weapon of choice in a future no one wanted. An army developed and built as the ultimate backup for a war that everyone hoped would never come. Created to fight in the event of hostile artificial intelligence. Soldiers like none other in the history of humanity, they were a breed outside of anything anyone had ever seen.

Fighters to a point, scientists, analysts and specialists in a vast array of fields and weapons, equipped with biomechanical and cybernetic implants and armour, were ready for an eventuality that no one could predict, let alone prepare for. Amongst these new warriors pulled from all genders, all races, all castes and creeds, was one human, one being that had to stand and lead, they who became known as White Mayhem.

No one knows what they were called before, no one knows where they came from or how they got their rank, what they had to endure during the Black Lake Incident or how they survived during the core meltdowns. We only know they were the leader, and as they fought their way out of the wreckage of Old Europa and into the horrors of the NEO-Budapest Triangle, their thoughts, unlike so many, were not on how to claim their stake of land, how to build their own new empire, but only on how to ensure the AI never rose again.

A hulking figure wrapped in their thick biomechanical armour and shielding that they still carry and repair from Old Europa. More machine than human, they run on the old systems, tech and code from pre–NEO-Budapest. Infinitely better than that which was left after the Lincoln Contingency was initiated, they are powerful beyond the reckoning of most within this new world. Now they lead their band of rebels and survivors, taking sides wherever necessary to ensure the AI from the past does not end their future.
